Ama Dablam Expedition (30 days)

List of our expeditions in Nepal and Tibet

An expedition to Amadablam is technically demanding and has everything from ice, rock, fighting, views of the murderer, much closer and the ideal base camp in a meadow with a stream. The issue offers an excellent technical climbing experience in the heart of the Khumbu region just above the monastery Thayanboche on the road to Everest base camp. From the top of the six highest peaks in the world are clearly seen five highest peaks of Mount Lhotse, Mt. Lhotse Shar, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho – Oyu, and Mt. Everest, and also close to the views of Nuptse, and Pumari Baruntse. Since his promotion in 1961 by an Anglo American and New Zealand team has been uploaded frequently and by many different paths.

Our ascent was made in the conventional SW ridge, which is pure rock to scale. The last section of the summit is ice climbing followed by a steep snow slope length. Due to the technical nature of the route, which requires 3500 meters of fixed rope and three camps above base camp. Normally, the ascent is completed in less than four weeks. However, it does build in more days case of unexpected weather.

FLIGHT DAY 04 Lukla and trekking FOR 2800 to Phakding
The 40-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is one of the world's most spectacular flights. The sixteen sitting Twin Otter, leads us to the east in the heart of the Sherpas, giving us stunning views of mountain peaks of the Khumbu region, including Mt. Everest and Ama Dablam seductive. The aircraft landing at Lukla air in small bands to put in simple words is – is going to be exciting loco – chills up the spine!

No, soon after the landing, which is to confront the famous walking track to the north and south and descends to the river to 2652 m. Continuing further Phakding through forests Chumda attractive fir and set our camp for the night (a walk of about five hours).

After an early breakfast, we started climbing the steep hill towards Namche Bazaar. If the sky is clear you can see the glorious mountains. Everest the highest mountain the world and Lhotse. Let's get to Namche after about six hours. It is a prosperous and largest city in the Khumbu region inhabited by the Sherpas, who are seems all the Tibetan people and cultures also looks the same. The city is vibrant, well-stocked with many shops, typical restaurants and hotels, as a whole everything looks wonderful, with stunning views of the closure of the snow-capped mountains everywhere. Some of us probably would face little problem in Namche is breathing as 3445 meters over sea level. Therefore, we will spend two nights here for acclimatization.

After crossing the Dudh Koshi River on a bridge at this point, the main path up a hill to the top Thyangboche chair. Thyangboche monastery is more relevant to the Khumbu region. 2-3 hours trekking through the valley towards Everest Base Camp, our main runway turning right then to continue on the next valley and up to base camp at an altitude of 4570 meters. We camped along the great place from which most Climbing routes are visible. The environment will, of course, nice, cool serenity. The porters will be busy then, with the load for the next two weeks time. The remaining staff included in the Base Camp – a staff of Cook, Sirdar, others, and the Liaison Officer.

09 DAY RISE TO 24 MT. Ama Dablam.
We must understand and be flexible over time, as it would be possible to comply with our daily schedule exactly on the rise period due to unpredictable weather conditions on the mountain. Overall, the group will work out in the mountains. The core team will be divided into groups – group climbing and the task group. The groups – while the group 'A' is studying the route and fixing ropes of another group "B" will need to carry loads to higher camps.
